Staff Health Training

Annual Staff Health and Safety Training

Annual staff training is provided through Vector Training (formerly SafeSchools), an online at-your-own-pace professional development course platform. Vector Training is part of the TeachPoint program for tracking and record of completion. The purpose of the medical learning modules is to provide up to date education on common medical conditions that can affect a child's learning. This information will be reviewed at least annually and as needed. The courses included cover the topics of asthma, diabetes, allergy, seizure disorder, head injuries and others as deemed necessary. Please note there is a written T.I.P.S document provided for some topics at the bottom of the page. The information is a summary of the content of the course.

Salus Education, with cooperation from the Lions Club International Foundation, provides online Diabetes training for King George County School staff members through June 30, 2024.

Hands-on demonstration of certain skills is completed annually with the nurse at each KGCS building.

Please refer to the nurse at your school with any questions or concerns regarding health and safety training.
